Nora and I have an understanding: I let her do things that make her feel responsible, and she is a lovely child. Yesterday, I did the dreaded menu/shopping list/shopping trip, and I decided to let Nora in on it. This is our menu--didn't she do a great job? I can't believe she didn't get tired of it before she was finished! At the store she was in charge of crossing things off the shopping list. I found that I liked the entire experience so much more with the added purpose of making Nora feel needed. Her desire to feel responsible will hopefully continue to carry over to me!
