Lia and Nora's sheets . . . er, curtains are hung, yahoo! This sheet set was a piece of junk from Kmart. Seriously, anyone who actually had to sleep on these 100% polyester sheets would be hating life. But for curtains, aside from the skiwampus manufacturer sewing job, they were perfect! I opted for one queen set of sheets at $10, instead of two twins for $20. That meant I had to cut the flat sheet in half and hem the pieces, but it didn't turn out to be too difficult.
As soon as the girls discovered that the baby was getting curtains so that his room would be darker, they began begging for some of their own. They absolutely hate to have a light room at night! Nora even suggested we buy plain black ones, so that she'd have optimal darkness. This was after she first suggested gauzy sparkly see-through purple ones, of course.
We hung a roller blind in place of the slat blinds, which makes the room a lot darker. Light still came in round the edges, but the curtains seem to have done the trick--even Nora slept in this morning, which is almost unheard of!
The lining job. I picked navy blue, instead of black.
Lia wanted me to take a picture of her side of the room too. So, it's a repeat, but she's still very cute. That mobile is what she made during the Saturday morning session of conference, sporting most of the apostles and the prophet. A few apostles didn't seem to make it on the thing :) The string of paper circles is her solar system. What a cute kiddo she is!
